1、学历条件
国内高中毕业生，想要入读大学本科之间，必须先读大学的预科课程(7-18个月不等的时间)，完成预科课程并满足一定的条件，方可进入本科阶段学习。
国内大专毕业学生如果国内所学的专业和去新西兰大学将要学的专业相同或相似的话，可以申请减免学分，本科所需读的时间将相应缩短。
2、语言条件
新西兰大学本科课程一般的英语要求为雅思6.0分，比如商科、文科、工程、建筑、自然科学等专业;有些专业的雅思成绩要求稍高，如护理(雅思成绩6.5分)，教育(雅思成绩7.0分)等。
